Costa Rican La Pastora SHB

$19.00

This Organic offering was brought to us by a friend in the industry. They had no information on the producer besides the name on the bag. To our amazement, our research told us this coffee is from southern Peru in the Puno region. Coffees from this unique microclimate produce very complex flavors with hints of passion fruit and pineapple they also are very sweet with caramel and chocolate notes.

We want your coffee to be as fresh and flavorful as possible, so we roast to order. Shipping times may vary but any extra wait will be worth it!

Description

The mountainous TarrazĂș region of Costa Rica, in the province of San JosĂ©, is where CoopeTarrazĂș’s classic La Pastora blend originates. Grown at elevations between 1,500 and 1,800 meters, this high-altitude terroir qualifies the coffee as Strictly Hard Bean (SHB). The cooler temperatures at these heights contribute to a slower maturation of the coffee cherries, resulting in denser, more flavorful beans.
